[Acrylic and Fourescent Paint on Plywood] For Adolfo: windy moon vs. reclining female.

Circa 2003?
18 3/4" x 81"

This I painted for my buddy Adolfo. I was dealing with the ideas of duality and of hidden things within. Probably dealing with my own duality, possibly from what was an undiagnosed mental illness. The upper picture is the work in normal light, depicting: 1) moon and wind; 2) a specific woman reclining. The moon was used in the work to reflect that she would pop up in my life like once a month. The lower picture depicts the work under UV light. I'll try to get a better picture in the future.

[Water color] For Mom: Clovers

Circa 2002?

This was one of my earlier works. It was a birthday? present for my mom I believe.

My mom started painting as her "retirement" from work. Now her work is painting. She inspired me in many ways to start painting, as both as an example and through buying me art supplies as birthday/ Christmas presents or by giving me the paint she no longer used. I made this to tell her thank you. On a similar note, my dad also briefly took up acrylic in his retirement, though eventually preferring glass and ceramics. I eventually came to extensively "borrow" his tubes of paint which some I still use.
